How does a valuation of gold or jewellery work at a branch?
The valuation is carried out with complete transparency, right in front of you. Our valuer checks the weight on a certified set of scales, analyses the carat content (using acid tests or X-ray fluorescence) and applies the official live market price to ensure you get the best price for your gold.
How does the free online quote tool work?
Our online form allows you to obtain an initial indication of value by entering the details of your items (type of item, weight, carats, condition, watch brand). This preliminary valuation is then confirmed at the counter at Espace Gold Change following a physical inspection.
What criteria are used to determine the value of my items?
The valuation takes into account the net weight of the precious metal, its exact purity, the real-time market price of gold or silver, as well as any added value associated with the brand, the age of the item or the presence of gemstones in the case of jewellery and watches.
Do you need to make an appointment to have your valuables valued?
No, our branches welcome you without an appointment, from Monday to Friday. You can simply turn up with your items and a form of ID to leave with a quote and immediate payment.
